What I built
Real guests and real RSVPs, ahead of the real shower
Sometimes a website is for exactly forty people. With our first baby on the way, I built Baby August so my family could organize the shower in one place. Guests pick their name at the door, RSVP, claim registry items, and sign up for jobs and supplies.
Everything syncs live, so when an aunt claims the stroller, it disappears from everyone else's registry. Planners get a PIN-protected view to manage the guest list and assignments.
The tartan-and-bear design came from the shower's invitations, so the app feels like part of the event instead of a generic form.
